If any of you know me you will know I am in love with love, I live for the cheesiest time of the year and it shows- our house is covered in pink and hearts (Even out oven mitts!) Its so easy to just go out and buy a million little valentines but I prefer making mine! I will show you guys tomorrow how it make valentines day special with a small budget (and when I say small I mean small, college girl after all!)
Anyways though I though I would show you guys what I am crushing on this year

Snow snow everywhere!!!

This morning our house woke up to a pretty hefty blanket of snow, about 6 inches, which we in Colorado are used to but its still coming down pretty hard! Moose, our dog was thrilled but I can't say everyone in the house was as excited.
Due to the snowy weather I decided to dedicate the morning to my crazy quilt. I even accomplished a few blocks! Yay! :D
Here's how I did it
I put the long sides of the triangles opposite
 Then put wrong sides together
 Then seamed them
and did it again with two different triangles and then sewed them together, Hooray a block!

In knitting news my great friend Bri and I decided to do a sock challenge. When I say sock challenge, it really will be one...Fair Isle! *Gulp* We are going to set an hour to work on them every week, and maybe just maybe they will turn out. Maybe I will make these?

Hooray new blog!

Welcome to my new blog! Yay! I am a crazy college student studying Bio, pre-med. If I could major in sewing or knitting I would =^.^= but alas I don't think my school offers such a degree. So while not studying I knit and sew as much as possible.
I thought I would start out by sharing what I have been working on thus far, some sewing, some knitting- as always.

First, Bella's mittens- I have been knitting these on and off for about 6 months. This tends to happen to me as I always have some form of gift or request to knit or sew for other people which pushes all projects for myself on the back burner (Eek!) Luckily, its February so *most* gifts are done for a bit. Anyways- these have been outrageously popular on ravelry so I decided to give em my best.

As far as sewing goes I have been working on a quilt for myself after the tragic accident of the 'New Blue Jeans and the Pastel Comforter Washing Disaster.' Yes, its a long name but tragedies do deserve them. I got the most unique and out there fabric from my FAVORITE fabric shop, The Fancy Tiger.

Lastly, of course, a gift! Valentine's day is just around the corner so I am knitting a fantastic little gift for my wonderful boyfriend (he puts up with all my knitting and sewing :D ) I will post more on it after V-day, but its so close to done I will probably wrap it up tonight! Yay for finishing projects!!
